Coaching can be taken at local fisheries but note that day ticket charges will be in addition to coaching fees.   Casting clinics can also be held in a suitable open, grassed area.

Hello and welcome.   I am very pleased to announce that MCB Fly Fishing has gone into a full time teaching role and running WEIR WOOD ANGLING LTD with my new business partner Michael Evans.  It is a very exciting and challenging opportunity and I look forward to seeing you at the reservoir, We are opening for fly fishing on April 12^th , then turning into any method on 1^st July.  Fly fishing will still continue but coarse fishing, on a strict catch and release basis, will therefore run along side.

We are looking forward to fly fishing for pike from 1^st October and if the carp are obliging this summer, then the chum mixer flies will also come into use. 

Boat, Bank and Tube Float fishing will all be available as a day ticket.  A fully stocked tackle shop will be on site for all the essentials, and the superb Arrowhead range.

Having started my fishing career in coarse fishing (as did many of my colleagues) at the tender age of 14, I taught myself the fundamentals of fly fishing and from those humble beginnings I have progressed to become a fully qualified Level 2 Game Angling Instructor, specialising in trout fishing.  I am in the process of training to achieve both Salmon fishing and Fly Tying qualifications.

I am a member of the Game Angling Instructors Association (GAIA), the Salmon & Trout Association (S&TA), The Fly Tiers Guild , the British Association of Shooting and Conservation (BASC) and the Countryside Alliance.

I have had extensive experience of teaching at all levels of competence, as well as appearing at Country Shows and Game Fairs throughout the South East and at the National Country Land Owners Association (CLA) Game Fair.  You will see from my Diary Page, those Fairs I will be attending this year.  Why not come along and say hello?
