Hello and welcome
to the 2012 season from MCB Fly Fishing.
Another challenging start to the year
has presented us with more environmental problems, The reservoirs all
require a good season of rainfall and this will have a knock on effect to
the small still-waters and rivers of the drought threatened south east.
I will still be offering GOOD QUALITY
and PROFESSIONAL casting instruction, guiding and top levels of service, for
all ages and abilities. This will include beginners days for groups and
corporate entertaining for businesses, as well as frequent appearances at
the local game fairs and shows around the area.
I have adjusted my fees from last
year to give the best possible value for money and they remain very
reasonable in this troubled climate. However, fuel costs and those for
travelling generally, may be adjusted slightly, so please contact me for an
up to date quotation on your requirements.
After last years season I am very
pleased to have managed to hook and land two magnificent salmon from the
river Findhorn in Scotland; both on home made flies. The first weighed in at
10lbs and second at15lbs. For pictures click here.
I do hope to see as many people as
possible this year starting this exiting sport, or solving any casting
problems and bad habits. Lets have a good year and enjoy some fishing!
Tight Lines,
Mark Carr-Brown
Having started my fishing career in coarse fishing (as did many of my
colleagues) at the tender age of 14, I taught myself the fundamentals of fly
fishing and from those humble beginnings I have progressed to become a fully
qualified
Level 2 Game Angling Instructor,
specialising in trout fishing. I am in the process of training to
achieve both Salmon fishing and Fly Tying qualifications.
I am a member of the
Game Angling Instructors Association (GAIA),
the
Salmon & Trout Association (S&TA),
The Fly Tiers Guild and the British Association of Shooting and
Conservation (BASC); you will also be
able to find me in the Directory of Instructors at the
fly fishing tackle
people, Fishtec.
I have had extensive experience of
teaching at all levels of competence, as well as appearing at Country Shows
and Game Fairs throughout the South East and at the National Country Land
Owners Association (CLA) Game Fair. You will see from my Diary Page,
those Fairs
I will be attending this year. Why not come along and say
hello? |
